1/4oz Gold American Eagle Coin

The 1/4oz American eagle gold coins are among the most popular coins acquired by American clients. Gold eagles are the workhorse of the American economy and are the official coin of the United States mint. The fractional coins offer greater divisibility and flexibility as well as a lower initial price point than their 1 oz counterparts.  

Like all gold eagles, they were introduced to the American public in 1986, and they contain 1/4oz of gold struck in 22 karats with a legal tender value of $10 US.  

The obverse shows the iconic design, which features the image of the Lady Liberty designed by famed coin designer Augustus Saint-Gaudens.   

The reverse, from 1986 to mid-2021, features a family of bald eagles around a nest. In mid-2021, the gold eagle series got its first update with the reverse of the coin being the head of a bald eagle.   

The 1/4 oz American eagle coins can be found in brilliant uncirculated condition in full tubes of 40.
